  11.   Justice Blackmun, concurring.
  12.   I join the Court's per curiam opinion and merely add
  13. that, even if I were not persuaded that the judgment
  14. must be reversed for the reasons stated in that opinion,
  15. I would adhere to my view that the death penalty
  16. cannot be imposed fairly within the constraints of our
  17. Constitution.  See my dissent in Callins v. Collins, 510
  18. U. S. ___, ___ (1994).  I therefore would vacate the
  19. death sentence on that ground, too.
